Subjectively I found the GP500 to have extremely accurate grayscale OOTB. It measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's seen by the human eye, but quite good. The Dynamic Contrast feature really added depth to the few night scenes in Life of Pi and the color was stunning as well. Avatar was very impressive as well.
